Modular Closed Loop (MCL) - is a specific scalable non-IT infrastructure solution suitable for smaller server rooms as well as for large data halls, where it is necessary to have zones with special operating conditions (temperature or heat load).
Suitable for:

- Data halls with zones that require different operating conditions
- 42U to 48U - 600 mm or 800 mm wide - 1,200 mm deep

What does the compact unit consist of?
This is a compact unit, completely insulated from the surrounding environment, consisting of Premium Server Series cabinets and CoolTeg Plus in-row cooling units.
The front and rear doors of the cabinets are glazed or all-metal, creating a closed space for air circulation between the servers and the cooling unit.
MCL is fully compatible with CoolTeg Plus CW (cold water), DX (direct evaporation), and XC (direct evaporation with integrated compressor) cooling units. Any number of cabinets and cooling units can be combined in one module.
Our experts will design a solution to ensure sufficient storage capacity to meet your requirements and the appropriate cooling performance, including the necessary redundancy. The MCL system can be complemented with various security features, such as the RAMOS independent monitoring and access control system, the EOS emergency opening system, the LES-RACK fire extinguishing system, etc.
Technical Specifications
Although any combination of RSF cabinets and CoolTeg cooling units is theoretically possible, we always recommend consulting our engineers. The recommended maximum number of cabinets in a single assembly is six, offering up to 360U positions. The number of CoolTeg units depends on the expected heat load, the calculated cooling capacity and the required redundancy.
CoolTeg units of all types (CW, DX and XC) can be used in the design. Cooling performance depends primarily on the respective air and refrigerant temperatures. For example, water-cooled units can reach outputs of up to 36 kW.
The cooling units are connected to the cooling medium distribution system either from below or from above. The dimensions of each cooling unit are - 300mm (for CW and DX versions) or 400mm (for XC version) width; 1,200mm depth; 42U, 45U or 48U height. The modular system is designed for cabinets with a depth of 1,200 mm, widths of 600 and 800 mm, and heights of 42, 45 and 48U. The modular system with IP40 protection (IP54 upon request) with a closed air loop consists of pre-configured cabinets, which are supplied fully assembled including sealed cable entries and separation frames. They can be equipped with an emergency opening system, local LES-Rack fire extinguishing system, and optional electronic access systems that are factory installed and tested.
