We built a complete data center at the Alkmaar hospital

The Noordwest Hospital in Alkmaar, the Netherlands, is a high-tech building equipped for state-of-the-art medical procedures. Our implementation included IT cabinets, cabling and in-row cooling units that had to meet specifications required by the hospital. We looked for the best solutions in terms of cooling, corridor layout and design together with our partners. The biggest challenge was finding the best cooling method. We considered cold water-based and coolant-based cooling technologies. In the end, we decided that cold water cooling was the best option for this project.

What we did

• Drew up a data center project.
• Selected appropriate technologies and customized them.
• Installed all technologies and air conditioning units.
• Commissioned the data center.
