WME- single-walled compact outdoor cabinets for pole/wall mounting with IP rating 66, were used to store equipment for a road meteorological station powered by photovoltaics.  Outdoor cabinets are located right next to the roads, where they are exposed to aggressive conditions in the form of salted snow from the road, especially in the winter season. CONTEG specialists came up with a solution for replacing the standard used casing material of the outdoor cabinet and offered the customer AISI 316L stainless steel coated with a polyester powder with UV protection, which withstands high humidity and aggressive atmosphere.  They also recommended the use of PG thread with IP rating 68 for cabling, so that in case of unexpected damage to the upper part of the cabinet, they achieve protection of the lower part against water leakage, where the backup batteries are stored.

In the Czech town laid on railways – Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, we delivered two outTEG OMR double-walled free-standing outdoor cabinets with plinths. These cabinets withstand the adverse effects of the outdoor environment and are used to control fully automated stations.

OutTEG OMR double-walled outdoor cabinets are installed throughout Europe and the Middle East in many traffic control projects, whether road, rail, or air. Usually, outdoor cabinets are equipped with outdoor cooling units, ventilation, or thermoelectric units. In milder climates, they can provide natural ventilation thanks to their double-walled design, and the indoor temperature is 10% lower than the outdoor.

Outdoor cabinets of the outTEG OMR design series have been used in France on busy roads near residential areas where air pollution is measured. OutTEG OMR was used to store the measuring device, including the monitor. The milder climate did not require the installation of climate control units, so natural ventilation was sufficient thanks to the double-walled design. The indoor temperature is 10 % lower than the outdoor.

Outdoor cabinets of the outTEG OMR design series with an IP rating of 66, which are made of high-quality materials and provided with a polyester powder coat with UV protection, are widely used for electrical installations of communication devices. In many installations, customers have appreciated the variability and robustness of the outdoor control cabinets. These top-class products can be assembled in a row, equipped with front and rear doors, a higher plinth for placing backup batteries, and also effectively control the indoor climate, whether using thermoelectric units, additional heaters, or cooling units.

In the last few years, our customers, which operate in the field of sewage disposal plants, gas pipelines, and solar and wind power plants, have used the CONTG design series of outTEG OMR outdoor cabinets. Outdoor enclosures are primarily weatherproof and have a high degree of protection IP66. Weather resistance is ensured mainly by the AlMg3 alloy used for the cabinet case and the applied finish of polyester powder coating with UV protection. Additional protection is provided by the stainless frame. Depending on the location of the equipment and the climatic conditions of the installation, the control of the indoor climate of the outdoor cabinet can be solved simply by forced ventilation, and thanks to the double-skin design, the indoor temperature is 10% lower than the outdoor.
