Container terminal in the Suez Canal

We delivered a rugged solution able to withstand the harsh conditions of the world-famous canal.
Contract
The Maersk Container Terminal (SSCT) is strategically located at the Suez Canal. This provides direct access to one of the busiest shipping routes in the world. SCCT is equipped to handle the largest cargo ships. In addition, it is the only terminal that can handle two ultra-large container ships simultaneously without compromising productivity. The terminal is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and offers six inbound and two outbound routes. SCCT is owned and operated by APM Terminals, a division of Danish shipping company Maersk.
SCCT operates in a harsh environment characterized by high humidity and presence of salt. To address these conditions, we designed our WME-O system in 316L stainless steel, which offers increased corrosion resistance due to its low carbon content.
We delivered a single-wall free-standing outdoor cabinet (33U) made of SS 316L stainless steel with IP66 protection and a wall-mounted solution with IP56 protection for CCTV. Both configurations include ventilation systems to maintain the operating temperature of the robust switches located inside.
